My wife wants to learn to tie flys. There’s only so much I can teach her. She learns well from videos and is really great with her hands, so I know she’ll enjoy it. What we want is videos that go from the basics or on -line instructions that do the same. Danke.

Hey all got a strange problem going on here. I recently found out I have terminal cancer. I thought it would be helpfull if I did my funeral arrangements now that way my family won’t have to do it later, I found a casket and tombstone I really like the design/color etc and got the spot in the cemetary next to my parents. Now the problem is my wife and my brothers all don;t like the casket I picked out it’s bronze colored with a fishing scene on the inside of the lid, showing a lone fisherman fly casting into a stream and under the picture is the verse from the bible that says “come with me and I shall make you fishers of men” and the stone I picked is black marble with the same thing on it along with my name and the dates. Everyone here knows I’m a lifelong fisherman. My wife and brothers say I should go with a plain coffin and stone since thats more traditional. Do you all see any problem with my choices for the coffin and stone?

We broke up the first time because all that bouncing up and down on the bike caused her to be sore down there, and then our sex life went on the decline.
I asked her if she could take up a more sedate pursuit like fly fishing, something I really enjoy, but as shes really small(4ft 11inch) she reckons that shes too short to fish. I say not, but she is so sure.
She has mentioned that she would join the Sherlock Homes Fan Club though as she likes all that intrigue. Not sure if that helps.
in march of 2006 my wife was diagnosed bi-polar manic depressive she showed no previous signs of condition. she has put me through hell and back. 4 car wrecks,breaking and entering charges,in jaill for threatening phone calls to total strangers,lies about taking psychiatric meds,been seen by psychiatrist and she refuses to go cannot tie her up and force her,her family denies anything wrong and says we need god and this will cure all? she has dellusions of george bush getting arrested,accused me of setting up recording devices in her work and inside her car. told my employer i needed two weeks off because we were flying to italy, lies to eveyone constantly,will not comply with treatments, spent 10 days in psychiatric ward and docs released her. she has costs me approx. 25,000 dollars since march alone i need advice because i think im loosing it! i thinking about divorce what do you guys think because ive tried everything

I just got a fly rod from my wife for our anniversary, and I know nothing about flyfishing(or spin casting for that matter). The kit I got says it has everything I need to hit the water today. But I have to tie all the lines together, and to the reel. I’m not scared of knots, but don’t know which of them to use. I went to a fly fishing demo a couple of years ago, and think I remember the idea of how to cast. But I’m lacking in experiance. Are there any Fly fishing sites designed for beginers. Not sites telling you how to land the big one, or how to tie flies like a pro, but something for a person a little wet behind the ears to get a start?
