How do I tie down a canoe?

I have a Ford Ranger (a small truck) and I am planning on buying a 17′ canoe. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good diagram or description of how I should go about tying it down so I can haul it around to the rivers and lakes and such. I’d prefer that it doesn’t fly off when I’m on the highway. Thanks a bunch! Peace!

Did anyone else have a weird dream last night?

I had a dream I was jumping on someone’s truck, and it turned into a bed. And it was very comfortable. All of a sudden I was on a horse and I tied a lasso around it’s neck and started spinning around in a full circle. Like I’m flying through the air. Then I was late for work… In real life.

What is the funniest or oddest thing you have ever seen being hauled down the road?

It was late one evening while my husband and I were on our way home. We hurt this loud noes, yet we could not figure out what it was. Next thing we knew this guy with his F 150 truck flies by going about 60mph hauling an old fishing boat with the tie grown. No it wasn’t just blown he was riding on the rodder. Sparks were flying every where.

The oddest thing he passes a gas station were five cops are standing outside talking and you know they saw this guy and heard him, you could hear him coming miles away. Yet the cops never stopped the guy.

Odd but true.

I have seen a truck in front of me going about 45 and his front tie comes off and rolls a half mile up the road. He never wrecked his truck he calmly pulled to the side of the road and luckily the tie didn’t hit on coming traffic.

What have you seen?
That was we heard not hurt . LOL

My son leased a semi. We had to pay $4,000 in repairs before he’s even made $. Do we have any recourse?

The DOT supposedly checked it. When he was on his way to the company he’s to drive for the truck slid into a ditch because of a crack in the air lines of the brake. When the truck was in the shop, they found corroded electrical wires and when they went to do an alignment because the truck was pulling to the one side, they found the tie rods and shocks were shot. After driving several hundred miles the rubber around the roof (I haven’t seen it so I don’t know what it is) started flapping and flew off. Now the truck is waiting to have that repaired along with another electrical problem with the speakers. They blew out and are smelling like they are burning. He signed some kind of a paper saying he accepts the truck as is. Not being a mechanic, how could he anticipate these problems? With the problems he has had, he could have been killed or have killed someone else. How could a vehicle this unsafe be sold? Mom and Dad have been paying all the bills. Do we have any recourse?
