I want to go fishing soon (well in the summer xD) and I want some tips to go river fishing with a fly line… Also, i’ll be backpacking on this fishing trip so any tips on how to catch the fish and what to use?

What is the moral to this story?
A fly is hovering above a river,
Bellow the river is a fish thinking “if that fly comes a little lower then I can jump up and eat it!”
On the bank there is a bear hiding in the bushed thinking “If that fly moves a little lower the fish will jump out and I can jump in the river and eat it!”
Hiding behind a tree is a hunts man who is thinking “if that fly moves a little lower then fish will jump out that bear will jump into the river and I can shoot it!”
Above the hunter on a branch is a cat thinking ” If that fly moves lower the fish will jump out the bear will jump in the hunter will run out to shoot it and I can jump down and steal his lunch!”
SUDENLY!
The fly moves lower the fish jumps out of the water the bear dives into the river jaws open the hunter dashes forward gun primed and the Cat is so excited he falls of his branch and into the water.

in farrar pond MA eels tend not to be there but becuz of the lack of rain the stream connecting to the main river is dried up so a few eels r trapped i wanna catch them b4 it rains again
