Character Study- my History Professor?

We are doing character sketches/observations of people in my high school creative writing class. When I began writing about my history professor, it never even occured to me that I was fulfilling my CW assignment, as well. Here it is… just wrote it. Advice and criticism, please.

Gnarled white-and-navy tennis shoes pad across the tile in front of the whiteboard, each foot stopping to reset over the other periodically. Chocolate brown chords are tucked behind the tongues and laces, ballooning apwards to a slightly protruding gut and ended comically by a too-large black leather belt. A rosy pink dress shirt is shoved haphazardly into the waistband, the cuff links left undone and giving the professor a winged appearance as he waves his arms and obsessively rubs his palms. An aquamarine tie, adorned with hot pink polka dots, hangs gaudily down his torso. His fly is down, but on a professor of his demeanor, the embarrassment one would usually experience upon noticing is weak and
insignificant. Thinning mousy hair is styled as to represent the Englishmen he blabbers endlessly about- parted slightly left, with the right side combed over. Sideburns of admirable quality shape his face to his jawline, where the British grunge of his teeth enjoy snarling with emphasis. Only no foreign accent bites the air he speaks… just the occasional Southern twang softening a mundane lecture.
*rest, not “reset”, and upwards, not “apwards” ! :)

Problem with a professor’s appearance and smell?

I have a professor right now who is beyond awful. Not only are his teaching skills atrocious, but his appearance is even worse. He smells, never combs his hair, it doesn’t look (or smell) like he ever brushes his teeth, his clothes have holes and stains (which get progressively worse over the week because he obviously doesn’t ever clean or change them) in them, his shoes are never tied, his fly is half unzipped, and if his shirt is ever tucked in, it is only a little bit, never all the way! It is so hard to concentrate in a class where you are thinking about how gross the teacher is instead of what he is talking about. His skills as an educator are bad enough alone! Is it really necessary for him to look like a hobo slob when he comes to teach university courses?
Anyway, I am writing a letter to the dean of students for his department regarding the matter, but how do I write this letter without just saying “he is a smelly dirty fool who shouldn’t be teaching here”? Any ideas? Thanks!
