I am 10 months from getting married and My fiance and his mother have put no input into my our wedding. My Fiance acts like he dosen’t care and My Future MIL is just acting cold.The really sad thing is My fiance is from Russia and he is an only child. His own mother wont help with her only childs wedding but His mother will fly 12,000 miles to siberia to attend her nephews wedding.My hand are tied and I am starting to feel like I am going to marry myself…What can I do to get them involved.?
Seriously, Mary could have been abducted, impregnated, and brain washed by ET’s. (Even today thousands of people claim to have been abducted). What if the Star of Bethlehem was the Mother Star Ship, and the angels that told the shepherds of Jesus birth where really flying vehicles from the mother ship. Maybe the miracles of Jesus where extratrerrtrial in nature. You know this could totally possibly be true. The Vatican has MANY documents that are sealed and guarded to the death. Could they be hiding something from us? The Gov and the Vatican have stong ties, could this all be a conspircy?

Here’s the situation:My wife’s nephew is getting married.His wife is from a family with money.They’re getting married in Hawaii.My wife’s family (and us) cannot afford this and told the couple this.His Mother would have to borrow the money to go .The bride-to-be is adamant about it and there is no changing her mind because her sister was married there.Now get this:after learning that no one could afford to go,Daddy Warbucks offers to fly us there and put us up in a hotel for the better part of a week.To me,this is demeaning and has been handled wrong.He should have offered up front if he was willing to do this.His daughter knew ahead of time the financial burden that it would be to everyone.Now,my wife wants to go because she is close to her nephew.I am not willing to go and spend money we don’t have and take time from work to go across the country.I really don’t want her to go ,either,but are my hands tied?I don’t want to argue…what are your thoughts?
I have some serious issues with my Mother. To shorten things a bit: She’s had screaming rage since I was pottytraining (I remember), there were/are NO ROOM for mistakes. Her patience it ZERO, and she will attack anything in her sight if she is the slightest bit irritated. I am almost 28. She does nothing but sleep for days at a time, only to wake to eat cookies/bearclaws/soda or to pee. If she has to babysit her grand-children, she will happily (to their face) say yes, and then bitch the entire time they are here, because they are playing with the cats toys, and they aren’t for children. She will scream at a 5 month old to shut up (i’ve heard her) and argue with a 5 year old about their opinions if they do not agree with hers, because no one is allowed to have their own opinion, if you dissagree, you are wrong, even with the mentalility of a 5 year old. I have to live here for awhile longer (just got divorced) and cant afford to live on my own. I am at my wits end, and I really think that when I move out, I will sever al ties. I cannot stand her bitchy attitude, screaming, hatefull look, and sleeping for 4 days at a time. She’s retired, so she does nothing all day. I keep my room clean, keep the kitchen clean, and buy all the food, and pay for some of the utilities, she doesnt want me to pay rent, just help out. My 2 brothers feel the exact same way, but none of us know what to do. She always flies off the handle at us or her grandkids, then apoligizes later in tears. I know shes depressed, and going through menopause, but she refuses to admit it. I need help/advice, anything.
Example from today: She got snotty and mad because I ate bacon by itself, not in a sandwich or with eggs. I just wanted bacon. She kept asking why, because I know it wont fill me up, so why bother eating it. Then got mad because she assumed I ate all that was left in the fridge, but I didnt, she didnt even bother to ask. She was a bitch for nothing.
I am starting to hate my mother, because I am now old enough to see how she treated me my whole life.
This couple has known each other for some time; they have always been good friends. Just got a call that they flew to Las Vegas and are getting married this evening. Everyone they know, including the bride’s mother, are saying it’s about time. They have all the material and monetary needs covered, so friends and family want to throw a nice reception for them (probably in August so the ones that have to travel can make arrangements).
The bride is a musician, but also works as a programmer. The groom is a science and technical type. I need some ideas for a reception that would sort of tie this all together with a rock & roll theme, maybe even metal or even a biker theme. I need some ideas for music and for decorations. Pretty much ‘anythings goes’.
