How many of you caught June Bugs?

I remember growing up in Southern Ohio we would catch June Bugs and tie a string on their leg, We also would catch lightning bugs in the evening and put them in mason jars. We also caught what we called jar flies and put them in mason jars, They made a real wierd sounding noise, I know it sounds cruel now, but when we were young we didn’t think of it that way.
