It takes place sometime before a world war (I think World War II). A British woman and her son go to live/visit an island (possibly in Greece) and it’s idyllic, until they have to leave when the War starts. Memorable scene: a man ties strings to the legs of beetles and they fly around. I haven’t seen it, my friend just described it to me. She would love to know the name of it. She saw it on TV within the last year or so, but is unsure how old the movie might be.
