How do hook th fly to a leader line without having to re-tie everytime?

What do I use to connect? Just started flyfishing.

How can I retract a grappling hook line?

I am trying to find a way to cast out a grappling hook attached to a 50′ long, 5/32″ diameter paracord line (tested at 550 lbs.) and make it so I can reel it back in to a circular thing at my side. Fishing reels won’t work, and I’m pretty sure fly wheels are just the same. All I want to do is throw it out, and be able to crank it back in, and be able to neatly store it like that, but be able to cast it out again without having to take out the length I need. Something that works like a fishing reel, but can hold that size of rope. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
Yeah, to make it clear, I want the retractor to fit on my belt – I’ve looked into winches, and it doesn’t work for me. Also, it needs to be able to be casted while still rolled up. If that’s impossible, I can take out the length first, but its preferable.

Fly fishermen???

Why do flyfishermen tie or buy hooks with fabric on them that look like bugs? why dont they catcha bug from the water and put it on a hook? that always stumped me.

I am looking for an extensible wading staff (telescopic stick).?

The telescopic stick should be adjustable to only about one foot and extends to about seven feet for use. As I mainly need this for fly fishing to retrieve flies and nymphs from overhanging branches there should be a hook tip fly grabber at the retractable end. On the second end of the wading staff there could be a rubber tip to maintain my balance when walking in challanging waters.

Yesterday, I went fishing and the first thing I ever caught was a bird, It was swimming around under water and

bit my bait. I reeled it in and cut the string, I felt pretty bad but I did see it fly off so it must be okay for now. I’m not sure where the hook was attached to him but everyone I told was mad at me for not taking him to the vet.
This really happend, I was at the waterfront with people walking by including children and I was hell of worried someone was going to see me reeling in this bird.
