i used to catch lots of flies when i was a kid and beheaded them by tying a hair around their neck and then strecthed it hard. Before that i usually asked them “any last words” and then i pretended that i’m that fly: “yes, i’d like to say that i love my families” lol
My B-I-L invited me to go fly fishing with him. Now i don’t claim to be the best outdoorsman, but i have been steelhead fishing, bass fishing, and crappie fishing, but this one has me puzzled…… how exactly does one “fish” for “flies”? and how much meat could you possibly get off of a fly anyway? is my brother in law delusional? can anyone reccomend a good shrink?

I have a small patio, and two dogs. They are trained to go on the dirt, which I hose regularly and *always* pick up after them right away. (and what I pick up get baggied, and tied, and put into a trash can with a lid on it).
There are some flies buzzing around all the time and I don’t like it. Is there something better, that is environmentally friendly and pet friendly that I can spray it with? I sprayed it with fly spray and lysol tonight out of frustration, but now I’m going to keep my dogs away from it for a few days.
additional info: I’m looking for an idea about something to spray that is safe.
Charlie, my 3 and half year old Thoroughbred, got into a bit of trouble. Today, I went out into the pasture to the left side of her face riddled with bumps and her eye and nose swollen. Any advice about something to put on. I put some swat around her eye and the bumps for now just to give her some relief of the flies but what could she have gotten into?
I thought she got kicked in the face but my dad is positive it’s a bug bite. If it is a bug bite, what would do THAT? It looked like she was in a boxing match and she was continually itching it on everything. Me, the wall, the cross ties the bars of her feeder. We’ve been reccomended to put Teabags on it, what do you think?
Going to call the vet tommarrow if it’s still really bad.
I do not have a job right now, but I have some money saved up. I wish to start fly tieing, is there money to be made? I found this kit, is it worth the money if it gets me started??? Please help!!!
