Back Ground: This particular neighbor moved away about a year ago, but did not take his two dogs. The dogs sit down there, one tied to a tree and the other in a pen. The guy comes once a day and pours food on the ground and fills their water bowls. They get zero exercise and recently, their ears were raw from flies biting them.
Yesterday, the dog warden apparently came and took them away. My husband is on the list of many who called. It was a desperate situation.
My husband found my cat in our pool yesterday afternoon. At first we thought she drowned because the raft was in the pool. But then, as I spent time saying goodbye to her, I dabbed her nose and there was blood. Then, I found out about the neighbor’s dogs.
She was a very healthy cat; I think she could have gotten out of the pool if she was conscious. Another one of my cats fell in about a month ago and she was in a out in a matter of seconds. (I heard the commotion)
I miss my baby so much. : (
Unfortunately, in my grief, I drank a few beers and when they showed up last night, I accused them of killing my cat. Since I was on their property, THEY called the police on ME! How screwed up is that?
I am considering having her little body autopsied. I’ll never be able to prove who did it.
