Nifty little tricks of the trade…not really a question but please take a look anyways! =)?

as i said, this isnt really a question, but i’d like to hear your ideas. i had an idea the other day at the barn when it was really windy and my baseball cap kept flying up. i took the hair tie out of my hair (the really long rubber band kind used to keep your bangs out of your eyes) and put it around my neck, under my ponytail in the back, and over the bill of the hat. it doesnt go flying anymore, and it doesnt really bother me that its there. another one of my ideas came to me when i lost my lunge whip a while back. i usually dont need one but my new horse needed it. i took a length of baling twine (love the stuff) and tied it to the end of my riding crop that i never use. (i didnt lose that, thank goodness!) it cracks just like a whip, has the same effect, and is easier to fit into a trailer or tack box. so my question is, what are your little ideas? i’m interested in hearing what people come up with to make life with horses easier! =)

Air travel with my fish. Please help me?

I am moving from New York to Florida in a month. I want to take my two inch goldfish and betta fish with me. I am also taking my cat. We are flying for about 3 hours from New York to Jacksonville then driving the next day.

It will mean about two days in transit. What I was thinking about doing with the fish is: not feeding them for two days before travel day; bagging them in breathable bags with a Jungle Bag Buddy; carrying them in the top of the cat carrier until security at the airport; carrying them with my cat through the security check; putting them back in the cat carrier for the flight; opening their bags in the hotel room the first night for air; and then housing them temporarily in goldfish bowls until I can get their aquariums set up in 5-10 days.

How does this sound to all of you? I can’t find a responsible home for them and besides I have become very attached to them. Do you have any suggestions?

I guess what I’m asking here is, will I make these fish suffer by doing this?

Fish and Cat Story?

One spring day, a fish was swimming about a foot below the surface of a lake and saw a fly hovering just out of striking distance.
The fish said to itself, “If that fly comes six inches closer, I’ll
jump up and have myself a meal.” Just then, a bear on the shore of the lake looked up and said to itself, ” If that fly gets any closer to that fish, the fish will jump up, and I’ll catch the fish and have myself a meal.”
As luck would have it, a hunter saw what was happening. He thought to himself, “If that fly moves closer to the fish, the fish will jump, the bear will lean over to grab the fish, and I’ll shoot the bear.”
Just then, a rat was standing behind the hunter saying to itself,” If that fly moves closer to the fish, the fish will jump, the bear will lean over to grab the fish, the hunter will lean over to shoot the bear, and I’ll grab the sandwich from the back pocket of the hunter.
However, unbeknownst to the rat, a cat was observing everything and thinking, “If that fly moves closer to the fish, the fish will jump, the bear will grab the fish, the hunter will shoot the bear, the rat will grab the sandwich, and I’ll snatch the rat.”
At that very moment, the fly dropped a few inches, the fish grabbed the
fly, the bear grabbed the fish, the hunter shot the bear, the rat
grabbed the sandwich, the cat jumped, missed the rat and landed in the lake.
The moral of this story is:
If the fly drops six inches the pu**y will get wet
