boston terrier luvs to chase birds. any ideas?

my dog loves to chase birds and he even knows what i mean when i say “i see a bird!” whenever we are on a walk and he sees a bird he wants to chase it. i would really like to do somthing to simulate a bird so he can chase it in the backyard because if i let him off the leash he’d run away. do u think it would be cool if i blew up a baloon and let go without tying it and let it fly around help

Would you be mad if your boyfriend put you in this situation or would you just laugh it off?

We’re in a kayak. I’m sitting there with my oar, not making any effort, enjoying the ride. We’re approaching land where a tree has fallen and there are branches poking out everywhere. He spots a bird. A big, scary, mean bird. His curious butt wants to get close to it. I’m screaming like crazy for him not to so we don’t get poked and/or attacked by the bird. No, of course he doesn’t listen because he ”just wants to see the beautiful bird” so he continues to get closer as I scream, cuss and almost cry. Then he lifts his oar towards it to scare it and I turn and scream louder as I lift a thick branch off my shoulder and I’m hearing its wings flapping and just imagining it flying towards our heads, us trying to miss it, the kayak flipping over, us in the nasty water with the fish and seaweed wrapped around our bodies. I’m making the situation worse by rocking the kayak back and forth as I yell and swing my arms around frantically. All the while, a couple is floating by and just staring.

Why is it cruel to keep a bird in a cage?

I keep seeing answers to questions that just state that keeping birds in cages is cruel and all birds should fly free. Well, I want to know your reasoning and I’d like you to consider a few things.
We keep fish in tanks. Fish are usually in millions of gallons of water, yet it’s acceptable to keep them in 5, 10, 20 gallon tanks? Why don’t you oppose that?
Rodents are outside where they have miles of space and they don’t need a wheel to run on just to stay healthy, yet it’s ok to stick them in a tiny cage?
Dogs and cats in the wild have acres and acres all to themselves, yet it’s acceptable to coop them up in a kennel, house or backyard?
And here’s the kicker- Children in Africa living outside also have miles to roam around. Why are our children expected to stay in the house or yard? They need exercise, too.
So, stop telling me that it’s cruel to keep birds in cages. Most pet birds are treated better than humans, so start focusing your energy on people who really do mistreat animals.
Now, I am against people who coop up their birds in small cages and don’t let them out to play. THAT is wrong, but for people like me who have ridiculously large cages and let their birds out all the time to play, I don’t see the harm.
Also, the whole flying issue. Some birds like to fly, others don’t. Most don’t have a preference. If the bird is getting fat because it can’t fly and needs more exercise, then you should let it fly-on a leash.

Would you rather have the ability to fly like a bird or swim like a fish?

or other superhuman abilities you wish you had?
why?
