If you were airplane?

Not a jet but a little airplane that only needs the basic neccessities to fly, would you be.

1. Landed safely in an airport, inside a hangar tied down and secure?

2. Coming in for landing on final approach?

3. Flying safely with an airport in sight?

4. Flying around with no airport in sight?

5. Running out of gas?

6. or–???

Why do schools teach our kids things that are not true?

Take airplane wings. They teach our kids that the plane flies because of lift due to the shape of the wing. (Bernoulli principle.) That is not true. If that were true, then a plane would be unable to fly upside down. If that were true then aerobatic planes would not have wings the same shape top and bottom.

Take simple machines. They teach that there are SIX…when in fact there are seven. Examine a bow string. Do some measurements using A^2 + B^2 = C^2. You can use the same method to pull a car out of a ditch, by pulling sideways on a rope tied to the car and a tree. You have a mechanical advantage until the rope hits a 90 degree angle where you are pulling. That meets the definition of a simple tool yet it is never listed.

How come the teachers never QUESTION what they teach?
No wonder American students are doing so poorly in the sciences compared to other nations.
Top schools in the USA….. But check out the percentage of foreign students taking the courses.

I did not knock our colleges. I complained about the quality of our teachers and what they are teaching. The two examples are things kids are being taught in grade school. If you get them off onthe wrong track early, they stay there.

Airplane Luggage/ Suitcase?

Hi, I just wanted to ask a question about my suitcase. I’m planning to fly to Toronto, Canada soon and I haven’t been on a plane since like 5 years back. I want to put like a little ribbon on my suit case so I know its mine when the suitcases come out, but I don’t know what to do. Should I put like a big bow and tie it to my suitcase? I was going to, but my friend is doing that and she doesnt want me to have the same mark. I can’t think of anything else, can anyone help me?

What’s the best way to pack a toddler’s booster seat for an airplane trip?

Initial question may not be clear will try better here; we’re flying across country in a few days with an 5-almost-6 yr old. Child will not need to use the seat on the plane itself but we need to bring it to use in a car at the destination. Can the booster seat just be tagged as luggage itself and checked? Lash/tie it to a checked suitcase? Put it in a box? Just looking for the best or ideal way to deal with bringing this along.

Note this isn’t a fully child seat; it is for a toddler so there’s no big back; its just a booster seat with short armrests.
