Wow! Fact is often stranger than fiction…I’ve had weird things happen in my life too….but the nay sayers always say it’s your mind playing tricks on you….I never take them to heart, because I know what I saw and heard…
I wouldn’t think it was Black people but a specific person that you were connected too. I can still vividly remember driving over a bridge when I was young. Me, my brother and my Dad. We went over into the flooded river. I could almost tell you the liscence plate # of the pickup. The only problem is it never happened. For me this is the biggest evidence of re-incarnation. I honestly feel that I really did, my soul at least experience that shortly before being reborn as who I am now.
I suspect that as a young child your soul inhabited the body of a young black girl who died at a very young age somewhere shortly before your current body was born. I have very little evidence to support this.
What I do not see is influences from Black culture in your writings or thoughts. I don’t think you were “born” be with with Black people or anything like that. Just that your soul was right before this birth inhabiting a different body and some of those memories have bled over as seems to have happened with me. I can find no other explanation to why I have these memories except that either I myself was once that person or that I traveled close by that person at a very impressionable age and the force of their thoughts were enough to make such a strong impression on me. A ghost perhaps or perhaps even a living person in great distress.
I think that your mother may have inadvertently implanted most of these thoughts into your psyche because she was influenced by or enamored with an individual who just happened to be black.
Additionally, I don’t think that you are remembering a specific dream that you had when you were three or four years old. Our brains only store high level keys or pointers to past events. When we conjure up that memory from the past, we see those pointers and then fill in the details based on our current mood and environment. So, again, I think that you are only conjuring up a concept, rather than a dream.
I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t like Motown music. It’s a classic genre that will live on forever. Most people love to dance to and listen to that music. So, that is not a significant marker.
And, the picture? From the way you described it, it may have just been a multiple reflection from a mirror or other reflecting surface which emanated into another room and was fortuitously caught on film.
Your family and you certainly seem to believe in this type of phenomena, but I would tend to believe that what you are experiencing is an overactive imagination which is enhanced by your willingness to believe in the paranormal.
But, who am I to judge the experience you had? If you experienced it and believe it, it may be true.
