You only have one chance to make a good impression, so a shirt and tie would be appropriate.

How much do you know about the history of the RAF, you should know something about its history, like The RAF’s role in the Battle of Britain.. How the Spitfire and Hurricane played a vital role along with the valiant pilots who flew them.

Since this is the modern RAF you are interested in joining, know some info about where the RAF deploys and the aircraft that they currently fly, like the Tornado GR1(GR4),GR1A,
1B, F3 etc. and what there combat roles are.

It would be good to be familiar with support aircraft as well.
My advice et a hold of a copy of Jane’s All the Worlds Fighting Aircraft. Any Janes book would be a great reference.
    (its a British publication)

I grew up around aviation as a kid, I’ve been involved with it all of my life..I decided to be an Air Traffic Controller instead of a PIlot, but I always wanted to fly. So my advice.. Work hard, stay in school, follow your dreams.

    Good Luck.

BTW, good job for saving your skin.
