Good news?
We have something like 160,000 to 180,000 of our most able-bodied potentially productive citizens in Iraq working as police (this is just the soldiers, there are tens of thousands of non-soldiers there as well). They are doing a great job there, but, as long as they are there they are not being productive here. They have to be supported, so do their families. When will we be able to bring them back and turn the economic drag of having them there into productivity? How long can we support them there? I see no sign that we will be able to bring them home without the situation going back to what it was pre-”surge”. Iraq’s government does not seem any stronger and does not seem like it would survive if we left now or any time soon.

Democrats love to be negative on any issue for the purpose of making themselves look better, never mind that they are under minding our soldiers and country. Their tactics make them look childish as well as foolish and I think the American people will recognize this.
