<description>Have you got any clear plastic adjustable bubble floats? You can fish any type of fly using them with Spinning or Casting outfits. Put one on your mainline then tie on a swivel. Attach a fly to a long leader with loop knot which hooks onto swivel. The floats can be adjusted by adding water to slow or speed up your drift rate and casting distance. Cast upsteam and fish like you would any other fly.
Here&#039;s a picture of what I am describing.
http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&amp;catalogId=10001&amp;langId=-1&amp;partNumber=1797&amp;hvarTarget=search&amp;cmCat=SearchResults

I use these for flyfishing as my flyrod technique can best be classified as far from good. How far? Pretty darn far.

		<description>Hello.
The Exocoetidae or flying fishes are a marine fish family comprising about 50 species grouped in 7 to 9 genera. Flying fish are found in all the major oceans, mainly in warm tropical and subtropical waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans. Their most striking feature is their pectoral fins, which are unusually large, and enable the fish to take short gliding flights through air, above the surface of the water, in order to escape predators.
Here the link for more info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_fish

I don&#039;t know if you can find them in stores or not.
Hope that helps. Take care and God bless.

Always look at the bright side, and the positive of everything.

<description>Wyoming has some great streams and rivers you can fish, plus some nice lakes. I would suggest you contact a fly club or fly shop in Texas and take a couple of hours of basic casting lessons and learn to fly fish. Below are some fly clubs, if one of them is any where near you, give them a call. As for a rod and reel and line, there are some places that sell a starter outfit for a reasonable amount of money. Give fly fishing a try, you will like it.

Another choice is what we call Selective Gear Rules up here in Washington State. That is where you can fish waters with either using barbless flies or a spinning outfit rigged with a single barbless hook. That way you can release the fish that you don’t want to keep, and the fish will live to be caught again some other day.

Texas has a number of great fly clubs. If you live near any of them, give them a call and see about obtaining some basic instruction in fly fishing.

<description>I too am a misplaced Texan so I know the agony you are experiencing. Forget about catching 10+ lbs largemouth. Walleye and all Trout species fishing is great in Wyoming.
This link will help you find new places to fish.
